Answers to the questions West Virginia patients ask most, based on the West Virginia Medical Cannabis Program's own guidance.

How much does a West Virginia medical cannabis card cost?

The application fee is $50 for new and renewal applications. You can ask for a waiver if your household income is below 200% of the federal poverty level.

Can I smoke medical cannabis in West Virginia?

No. Smoking or any combustion is illegal, but dry leaf or plant forms can be vaporized. Pills, oils, tinctures, topicals, liquids and patches are also allowed.

How much can I buy at once?

Up to 6 oz of flower or 60 g of concentrate, or a mix of the two, per rolling 30-day period. You can check your remaining allotment in MyComplia.

Can a child get medical cannabis in West Virginia?

Yes, if a registered physician certifies a qualifying condition. A parent, legal guardian or OMC-approved person must register as the minor's caregiver first.
