7 things to know about West Virginia's medical marijuana program
West Virginia's medical cannabis program is run by the Office of Medical Cannabis (OMC). West Virginia residents with one of the serious medical conditions listed in state law get certified by a physician registered with the OMC, then apply and pay $50 through the MyComplia online portal. Low-income patients can ask for the fee to be waived. The OMC reviews applications within 30 days, and approved patients download a digital card valid for one year. Patients can buy up to 6 oz of flower or 60 g of concentrate every 30 days. Smoking, home growing and taking cannabis out of state are not allowed, and adult-use cannabis is not legal.
