Using your card · New Mexico

Does New Mexico accept out-of-state medical cards?

Yes. Out-of-state patients register once a year at a dispensary as reciprocal participants. They must show a government-issued medical cannabis enrollment card and photo ID from the same state, territory or tribe, and are held to 425 units per 90 days.

Traveling from New Mexico

Your New Mexico card is issued under New Mexico law, so other states decide for themselves whether to honor it. Never carry cannabis across state lines — that's a federal offense, including on flights.
