New Hampshire medical marijuana FAQ: answers from the official program
Answers to the questions New Hampshire patients ask most, based on the Therapeutic Cannabis Program (TCP)'s own guidance.
Can I get certified for New Hampshire's program through telehealth?
Not the first time. Your provider must do a full assessment that includes an in-person physical exam. Later recertifications by the same provider may use telemedicine.
How much does a New Hampshire therapeutic cannabis card cost?
The application fee is $50, paid by check or money order to Treasurer - State of NH. There is no hardship discount from the state, and caregivers pay nothing.
How long is my card good for?
The standard term is one year, but your provider can certify you for up to three years. A shorter certification can be extended by the same provider without a new application.
Can I grow my own cannabis in New Hampshire?
No. Patients and caregivers may not grow cannabis anywhere. All purchases must come from a licensed Alternative Treatment Center.
I'm visiting from another state — can I buy in New Hampshire?
Yes. Visiting patients with a valid medical cannabis ID from their state or Canada and matching photo ID can buy at New Hampshire dispensaries, up to 2 ounces in any 10-day period.
