Using your card · Kentucky

Does Kentucky accept out-of-state medical cards?

Yes, for visiting qualified patients with a valid out-of-state card and proof of diagnosis; they can register for a $25 visiting patient card, and dispensaries may also serve visiting patients with a convenience fee of up to $15 per transaction.

Traveling from Kentucky

Your Kentucky card is issued under Kentucky law, so other states decide for themselves whether to honor it. Never carry cannabis across state lines — that's a federal offense, including on flights.
